Eleven of day 40 of the Diario AS in LaLiga SmartBank

The antepenultimate LaLiga SmartBank conference had eleven protagonists which we detail below. Juan Villar (Rayo), Pinchi (Extremadura) and Jonathas (Elche) stood out with their doublets. Herrera (Lugo) and Bárcenas (Oviedo) scored one and gave another. In goal, as it was two days ago, was Femenías (Fuenlabrada) after his game against Cádiz.

Goalkeeper

Femenías (Fuenlabrada)

Many are shining in the great moment fuenlabreño, but Femenías does it with its own light. The young goalkeeper, inexperienced in the category until last month, was crucial to tie the three points of the leader's stadium and already promoted to First, Cádiz, with two stops of great merit.

Defenses

Unai Medina (Sporting)

Unai Medina is a side of the old school, of those who prioritize strengthening theirs in defense rather than weakening them with some untimely rise. However, against Malaga the side opened the can with a good internship by the band. One of his few increases in the season, so much so that he premiered his scoring account as a sporting player.

Figueras (Racing)

It only remains for Racing to pull pride and courage for these two days that remain to be disputed and they did so against Huesca. The people of Santander, led by the veteran Figueras, gave the smash by winning a few Huescans who are fighting to ascend to First. The defender gave a 'clinic' of defensive positioning and forcefulness to the cut.

Adri Castellanos (Numancia)

45 minutes were enough for Adri Castellanos to sneak into the 'Best eleven of the day of LaLiga SmartBank'. His high percentage in aerial duels won was not enough for the central defender's performance. In addition, he finished his night with two great plays that left by centimeters: the first after a great auction and the second with a beautiful volley.

Josema (Elche)

One of the great discoveries of Pacheta for this last stretch of the season. Josema, after not counting in Extremadura, signed for Elche with the intention of only enjoying soccer and, now, he is one of their most important players, established in the starting lineup. His performance against Albacete confirmed it: work and tour from anywhere behind.

Midfielders

Bárcenas (Oviedo)

Oviedo gave the bell at La Romareda after winning 2-4 and leaving the permanence on track. Barcenas had a lot to do with it. The Panamanian winger completed one of his most outstanding performances, with an assist and a goal. The one who gave: perfect play rehearsed with a set piece in which he sees Sangalli unmarked to volley, make the second of the game. The one who scored: beautiful left-footed shot from inside the area, crossing it to Cristian Álvarez.

Juan Villar (Lightning)

Juan Villar adds and follows. The Cortegana winger made a new double in Rayo's defeat against Almería and reached seven goals with the Madrid team (five in the last three games). The first one did it from inside the area with the right leg and the second one, with the head. However, these two goals did not serve to score any points.

Hugo Fraile (Fuenlabrada)

Fuenlabrada won at the leader's home with a victory by the minimum that made the people of Cadiz have to delay the celebration of the promotion. The author of the only goal was a Hugo Fraile who continues to be infallible from the penalty spot. Eighth goal from eleven meters for Madrid and 12th in the season total. Sandoval's men are still looking at the playoff.

Forwards

Pinchi (Extremadura)

The 'law of the ex' was again evident in Riazor. Pinchi, Deportivo's youth squad, made two goals for the Galicians to give victory to an already relegated Extremadura. The first, beautifully made, after receiving a ball from the front and scoring after individual play. The second, defining against Dani Giménez, who could have done more. Both goals came in the final minutes of the match.

Jonathas (Elche)

Elche continues in its fight to get into the playoff thanks to a Jonathas double against Albacete. The Brazilian striker made two traced goals, taking advantage of two passes from the death of Josan and Nino. He was able to round off his afternoon with a hat-trick if they did not get to cancel a bit for offside. It has seven targets.

Herrera (Lugo)

Lugo clings to the fight for permanence thanks to an inspired Cristian Herrera. The striker saved a point for the Galicians with a goal in the 96th minute. Good left-footed shot against which Risk could do nothing. Herrera also participated in the first goal, when signing up the assistance after a semifallo.
