Atlético has signed Gabriel Carvalho, an 18-year-old Portuguese winger who, after terminating his contract with Porto, arrives free at the red and white discipline. According to the Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda, he signs until 2025 and will have a termination clause of 40 million euros. The club will have to pay compensation to the Portuguese entity of around 120,000 euros for training concepts.
Gabriel Carvalho played during the first part of the season in Porto’s Under-19 team. In principle, as a rojiblanco he will join the Juvenil A of Fernando Torres and Ricardo Ortega, which is fighting for the League and will play in the second round of the Youth League against Real Madrid. Carvalho is already posing with the shirt of his new team and has visited the facilities of the Wanda Metropolitano.
The Portuguese, from the 2004 generation, can play on both wings and even as a striker. In 2020 he moved from Sporting to Porto, where he had barely spent a year and a half, until he decided to leave and now try out for a new club and in another country.
Atlético is attentive to the Portuguese market and to any future opportunity that it may have access to. The club also has Samuel Lino tied, a 22-year-old Gil Vicente winger which is standing out this season in the Portuguese league.
