The Gipuzkoa First Division club communicated on Thursday on its website that subscribers can choose between two options, that the proportional part of the payment of the six matches without public this season be returned to them (2019-2020), or donate that amount to the foundation of the Catalan team (SD Eibar Fundazioa).

The Eibar foundation is carrying out various acts of solidarity during the crisis caused by the coronavirus, such as donating medical supplies to Osakidetza (Basque Health Service) to whom he donated in March the coronavirus detection tests that LaLiga (employers of professional football clubs) had sent him, as well as protection material (masks and divers) to the health personnel of nursing homes in Eibar and Ermua. Further, He has telephoned the most veteran subscribers from the club to inquire about their health, He congratulated the younger members who were confined at home with videos recorded by Barça footballers. Likewise, he has contacted ex-footballers of the club (men and women) from all eras to find out what situation they were in.

The proportional part of the subscription of six games will be returned

The club's board of directors has decided to compensate members for not being able to enjoy matches in Ipurua for playing behind closed doors. Football without fans is very sad, as the Eibar team and its faithful fans know well. And it is that Eibar-Real Sociedad, which took place on March 10 in Ipurua, has gone down in history as the first match played behind closed doors in Spain for the coronavirus. The duel between the two Gipuzkoan teams from Primera was matchday 24, that was suspended on February 16 due to air pollution due to the fire in a landfill in Zaldibar.

The eibarresa directive has agreed to return the proportional part to the parties not enjoyed by the subscribers in the 2019-2020 campaign, including the Eibar-Real Sociedad in March. In total, there are 6 games (one already played, the one mentioned against Real); and the other 5 duels are the ones that remain to be played on the Eibar field when the First Division league resumes. The championship stopped in mid-March after matchday 27, with 11 matches still to go to finish the league championship. Five rivals still have to pass through Ipurua: Athletic Club, Valencia, Osasuna, Leganés, and Valladolid.

In Eibar the subscription is annual, referring to the calendar year (2020). For those subscribers with annual payment, the amount of 6 games will be refunded; while for those who have their payment paid in installments on a quarterly basis, the amount equivalent to 2 matches will be returned. Likewise, those partners who are unemployed, may request the refund of the full fee (Except for the 4 duels already played in the open door from January to March 2020, against Atlético de Madrid, Betis, Levante and Mallorca).

Two options for members, donate the money to the foundation or get it back

Eibar gives subscribers two options: donate the money to the Barça foundation or recover it. If they choose the donation to SD Eibar Fundazioa, it will serve to finance part of the social projects it carries out. The donation can be made from June 15 to 29, and altruistic members will receive a money voucher to redeem it at the club's official store (Orsaixan) in Ipurua, or at eibarstore.com (the online virtual store, at which can be accessed from the azulgrana website). The value of the bond changes depending on the amount given to the foundation, since it would be 10 euros for assignments of less than 75 euros, and a voucher of 20 euros for donations over 75 euros.

The social mass can make in the second fortnight of June the concession of its money by the parties not enjoyed in two ways, in person at the Orsaixan partner service office during normal business hours, or via the internet at https://efc.sdeibar.com which is the address of the Eibar Fan Club (EFC) website.

Subscribers who need the money due to the economic difficulties caused by the pandemic or who do not want to give it to the foundation, will see how they are automatically reimbursed in their bank account. Of course, it will be from June 30, because the club needs to know which members have not made the donation (which can be done from 15 to 29).

All these measures refer only to the current season (2019-2020), in which the matches will initially be played behind closed doors. What happens next season is still unknown. (2020-2021), which could start, if no outbreak of coronavirus or other adverse and unforeseen circumstances arises, in September.
