Dyego Sousa will debut as a starter in the Mediterranean

Almería looks to continue in direct promotion tomorrow with a victory against another team from the top of the table. After winning (0-1) last Monday at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium, Rubi’s men are on the hunt for their second consecutive win to remain just one point behind Eibar. And he will do it without his scorer, Umar Sadiq, who is with his team playing a ticket to the World Cup. His absence will be covered by a Dyego Sousa who will make his debut as a starter tomorrow (9:00 p.m.) at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos. The Brazilian will have the responsibility of throwing the rojiblanco offensive weight behind him precisely the week of his renewal.

“I was thinking of giving up when I had the opportunity from Almería and I took advantage of it,” commented the Brazilian striker a couple of days ago, with the ambition of taking advantage of the opportunity that comes his way tomorrow. The Portuguese nationalized player has been decisive in up to a dozen goals for his team, with five goals and as many assists. However, because of the stiff competition in his position, He has barely been a starter in Miranda de Ebro (he scored a hat-trick), Ibiza (he scored the winning goal) and Zaragoza.

Shield/Flag Almería

With 387 league minutes, Almería always win if Sousa scores, although tomorrow a game with goals is expected; being face to face two of the three teams with the highest punch in the championshipwith the team from Almería being the leader, with 51 goals in favor, and Girona, third, with 49. If the goals end up deciding promotion, Sousa’s responsibility tomorrow is maximum as he has to replace a Sadiq who already has a fortnight of goals in the league.
