MADRID, 26 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Swedish athlete Armand Duplantis established a new world record of 6.22 on pole vault this Saturday during the ‘All Star Pole Vault’ meeting held in Clermont-Ferrand (France).
Duplantis, who has 60 jumps of six meters or more, added one centimeter to the indoor record he already had, since last year’s World Cup in Oregon, in his third attempt at the French event of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver.
The previous world record holder, Renaud Lavillenie, until 2020, was one of the first to congratulate Duplantis as a rival and also organizer of the French competition.
