Sheriff Tiraspol, who had an outstanding career in the tournament last season, including a victory at the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid, will face Bosnian Zrinjski in the first qualifying round of the 2022-23 Champions League, according to the draw held this Tuesday at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon (Switzerland).

Swedish Malmö will face the winner of the preliminary round, which will take place in Reykjavik between June 21 and 24. The semifinals will be Levadia Tallinn (Estonia)-Vikingur (Iceland) and La Fiorita (San Marino)-Inter Club d’Escaldes (Andorra). The winners will meet in the final.
The first legs of the first qualifying round will be played on July 5 and 6 and the second legs on July 12 and 13. The winners will qualify for the second qualifying round. Meanwhile, those defeated for the second qualifying round of the Conference League, except for those in the Maribor-Shakhtyor Soligorsk and HJK Helsinki-RS qualifiers, who go on to the third qualifying round as a result of an additional draw to rebalance the competition.
