Gigio Donnarumma (and his brother Antonio) are close to renewing their contract with Milan. As reported today by 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', contacts between Mino Raiola and the club continue to advance: Ivan Gazidis uploaded his proposal up to 6.5 million euros net per season, a figure close to the 7.5 that the goalkeeper requested. It does not seem a problem to find an agreement for the salary, while there is some more difficulty about the issue of the termination clause, which in Italy is not mandatory and that Raiola wants to link participation to the next Champions League. The entity, in this sense, is not very convinced, since its idea is that Donnarumma stays long term. The goalkeeper will comply 22 years in February, but he has been with the Rossoneri for six seasons, adding 214 presences. Aim for legend and the intention of all parties is that the adventure together continue.
These days, in addition, Milan is also analyzing the situation of Hakan Calhanoglu, another key man of the team who, like the goalkeeper, contract ends in 2021. The Turk has many brides in the Premier League (Manchester United is very interested) and at the moment there are quite a distance in the negotiation. He asks for a salary that exceeds 6 million euros, but the entity offered him half (more variables). There will be more meetings in these weeks, but it does not filter much optimism.
