Felipe VI and Doña Letizia are on a three-day state trip to Germany, the first carried out by the Head of State in 25 years. The goal is to strengthen ties and bilateral relations between the two countries. In addition to the agenda of institutional, economic and social content in the German capital, the program includes a visit to the city of Frankfurt on the occasion of the inauguration of the prestigious Book Fair, in which Spain is the guest country.

In the official welcome, the King and Queen have been received with honors by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank Walter Steinmeierand his wife, Every Büdenbender.




For such an important act, the Queen has chosen the color Berlin blue, also called Prussian blue, which was accidentally discovered by the chemist Heinrich Diesbach in his Berlin laboratory in the year 1704. Quite a gesture with which, in addition, has coincided with the first lady, Elke Büdenbender. Her dress, which is fitted at her waist, has a top with a plunging neckline and floral details on the shoulder pads. Also, she wears a skirt with buckets that adds volume. It has been completed with accessories in the exact same tone as the dress: leather bag and classic line pumps.




As part of the welcoming ceremony, the King and Queen signed the honor book in the lobby and posed for the official photograph. Later they have made a floral offering at the Monument to the Victims of War and Tyranny.
