Felipe VI and Doña Letizia are on a three-day state trip to Germany, the first carried out by the Head of State in 25 years. The goal is to strengthen ties and bilateral relations between the two countries. In addition to the agenda of institutional, economic and social content in the German capital, the program includes a visit to the city of Frankfurt on the occasion of the inauguration of the prestigious Book Fair, in which Spain is the guest country.
In the official welcome, the King and Queen have been received with honors by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank Walter Steinmeierand his wife, Every Büdenbender.
For such an important act, the Queen has chosen the color Berlin blue, also called Prussian blue, which was accidentally discovered by the chemist Heinrich Diesbach in his Berlin laboratory in the year 1704.
