Don Juan Carlos suspends the regattas: one hour in the water, rain and return to port

Second day of don Juan Carlos in Sanxenxo. A gray day with fine spring rain has caused the emeritus to suspend his training. He has arrived this Friday, April 21, at the Real Club Náutico around 11:00 in the morning. He has embarked on his dear Rascal and has sailed for an hour. At all times, he has maintained a low profile and low exposure in the media.

Juan Carlos I has arrived at the port accompanied by his close friend Pedro Campos. Greetings to the port staff and his sailing teammates. Later, the father of Felipe VI embarked on the sailboat to cross the waters of the Ría de Pontevedra. A set-up for this weekend’s regattas.

However, the persistent rain has forced him to suspend his training, which lasted only an hour. Resigned, but without losing his smile, the emeritus returns to port around 12:00. At no time has he lost his smile.

For now, the former head of state sticks to that requested discretion, after the media circus that was mounted in Sanxenxo last year. Neither statements nor poses nor photocall nor receptions in port. Throughout this weekend, we will see if any member of the Royal Family travels to the Galician town.
