The event will bring together the most important and well-known faces from the business and political world and, among all of them, there is one especially relevant name: the emeritus Don Juan Carlos.
According to The Objectivethe father of Felipe VI has already received the invitation to the wedding of José Luis Martínez Almeida y Teresa Urquijo. And the emeritus is related to his girlfriend, since he is the cousin of his grandmother, Teresa of Borbón-Two Sicilies and Borbón-Parma. They also assure that although Doña Sofía's husband is very grateful for the invitation, it is very likely that he will not attend the celebration, since his presence would imply a deployment of security and media interest that Zarzuela would not like. Furthermore, Don Juan Carlos does not want to take away the prominence of the bride and groom on his big day.
Almeida and Teresa Urquijo will say “I do” on April 6 in a religious ceremony that will take place in the chapel that the bride's family has in Los Molinos, in Navalagamella. Afterwards they will celebrate, along with the rest of their guests, in the farm 'The song of the cross', also owned by the bride's maternal family. It is located in the municipality of Colmenar Viejo, 30 minutes from Plaza Castilla, in Madrid.
