The favorite will seek his fourth title in a row and seventh in total in London after coming back from the local Norrie
MADRID, 8 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, favorite number one, will face Australian Nick Kyrgios this Sunday in the final of the Wimbledon tournament, the third ‘Grand Slam’ of the season, after defeating Briton Cameron Norrie, ninth seed, in four sets , with partials of 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4.
The one from Belgrade thus agreed to his eighth final at Wimbledon, where he has six titles, three of them consecutive in 2018, 2019 and 2021 -in 2020 it was not played due to the COVID-19 pandemic- and only the one from the edition yielded 2013 against the British Andy Murray.
Djokovic’s rival will be the histrionic Nick Kyrgios, who did not have to play his semifinal this Friday due to the resignation of Spaniard Rafa Nadal the day before due to abdominal problems that worsened in the quarterfinal match against the American Taylor Fritz on Wednesday.
