Djokovic overcomes Korda and reigns in Adelaide

MADRID, 8 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic beat the American Sebastian Korda (6-7(8), 7-6(3), 6-4) this Sunday in the final of the Adelaide (Australia) tournament, of the ATP 250 category and played on hard court, and has won his 92nd individual title.

The world number five had to recover from an adverse first set, in which he succumbed in the ‘tie-break’, and even neutralized a match point from his opponent with 5-6 in the second set.

However, the defending champion of the ATP Finals managed to equalize the contention in the tiebreaker and got a ‘break’ in the tenth game of the third set to close the match after three hours and 11 minutes of play.

In this way, Djokovic becomes the fourth player with the most individual titles in the history of the ATP circuit (92), equaling the Spanish Rafa Nadal (92). Ahead are only Ivan Lendl (94), Roger Federer (103) and Jimmy Connors (109).
