Serbian Novak Djokovic increases his number 1 in the world ranking by equaling the 20 'Grand Slams' of the Swiss Roger Federer and the Spanish Rafael Nadal, while Wimbledon finalist Italian Matteo Berrettini overtakes Federer and is eighth.
The German Alexander Zverev moves to the fifth position to the detriment of the Austrian Dominic Thiem who is now sixth, and the Canadian Denis Shapovalov rises two positions and occupies the last position in the top 10. This week up to 19 Latin American tennis players appear in the world top 100. Rafael Nadal (3), Argentine Diego Schwartzman (12), Spaniards Pablo Carreño (13) and Roberto Bautista (14), Chilean Cristian Garín (18) and also Spaniards Alejandro Davidovich (36) and Alberto Ramos (41) .

Muguruza returns to the top-10
Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, due to her status as a semifinalist at Wimbledon, reaches the third step of the podium in the WTA World Ranking, while the Spanish Garbiñe Muguruza returns to the top 10. Sabalenka achieves her best classification after the London Grand Slam, escorting the Australian Ashleigh Barty and the Japanese Naomi Osaka.
The American Sofia Kenin climbs two places and is fourth, while the Canadian Bianca Andreescu is fifth after climbing two rungs. The changes to the top ten continue with Czech Karolina Pliskova gaining six places to be seventh, Polish Iga Swiatek gaining one and being eighth and Muguruza improving two to reach tenth place.
Romanian Simona Halep loses six positions and is ninth this week. In addition to Muguruza, four other Latin American tennis players are among the top 100 in the WTA world rankings: the Spanish Paula Badosa (29), the Argentine Nadia Podoroska (36), the Spanish Sara Sorribes (46) and the Colombian María Camila Osorio (80).
