The last signing of Celta aim high. Matías Dituro the objective of this campaign is to achieve a european banknote. The Argentine goalkeeper, on loan from the Universidad Católica de Chile, joined the Marbella concentration camp on Sunday and the club published this Wednesday his first statements as a celestial player.
What are your feelings in your first days at Celta?
They are very good and I have felt very comfortable. I'm working hard to be able to load up on work at this stage and get to the start of the tournament in the best way possible.
He already knew several of his colleagues from his previous stage in Vigo.
We have been remembering things from that time and with the rest of the teammates also very well. You can see that there is a very good group atmosphere. I am sure that in this way we can achieve very important things.
Was your time at Celta B decisive in making the decision to return?
My wife and I had a very nice memory of the city. When the possibility of being able to come to Celta came out I did not hesitate for a minute and together with my representative we got to work to be able to make the loan. My expectations are very high.
What has attracted you the most about this project?
Celta is a team that will be fighting for European positions. Having such an ambition motivates any player. Also to be able to play in LaLiga and to be able to contribute my grain of sand from the place that touches me. It is a growth in my career and I felt at a good time to make a decision like this, even though I had several more years of contract with the Catholic University. The coaching staff conveyed ambition to me and insisted that I come.
Did you know Coudet?
Just having faced each other in the Copa Libertadores. When Chacho called me, the conversations were always very fluid, very sincere. That influences one to do more things to be able to come. It was two weeks of negotiations. My representative and I did everything possible to get here.
How do you handle the demands of training?
I knew that the first days, due to the trip and the time changes, were going to cost me a little physically. I'm sure that little by little I am taking shape. I like to train like that, putting a lot of rhythm into it, a lot of effort. I enjoy it every day.
What can the fans expect from you and the group?
First, thank the fans for all the displays of affection these days on social networks before the signing was announced. For my part, as I have always done in my career, I am going to give myself to the fullest and try to contribute as much as I can. Add to be able to achieve the objectives. At a group level, from what I have been able to talk in the few days that I have been part of the team, we have the illusion of achieving important things. Last year we were close to the European positions and hopefully this year we can meet that goal.
