Diego Martínez, from the bench to the University of Granada

Granada coach Diego Martínez, has given this week a series of talks at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Granada by having a teaching permission from the Department of Physical and Sports Education, in which he transferred his experience and love for the bench to future graduates.

“Coach: passion and trade” is the title of the lectures given by the rojiblanco coach in the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Sports Sciences to fourth-year students in the Sports Specialization course.

Diego Martínez, who studied and is a graduate of this Granada faculty, this year received a teaching permit from the Department of Physical and Sports Education for which he has taught these classes, reported the University of Granada.

The teaching permission is an existing figure in the statutes of the University of Granada that allows people of recognized prestige in the social field to receive the invitation and authorization to impart a number of credits in a certain degree.

The 40-year-old Galician coach, has made known in the classes how he has transferred his university knowledge to the elite and has explained the peculiarities of high performance work, using multimedia resources, with interactive sessions with students and with many examples from the work he develops on the pitch.

Diego Martínez is the first coach in the history of Granada who has completed three consecutive seasons as head of the first team, in which he has led the Andalusian team since Second division until the quarterfinals of the Europa League in his first continental participation.

During these days the preparer negotiates with the club his continuity on the rojiblanco bench, something you will make a final decision about in the next few days.
