The defender of Valencia Mouctar Diakhaby will not play on Saturday against Villarreal at Mestalla if this Wednesday he sees a yellow card in the match that his team will play at the Benito Villamrín stadium in Seville against Betis.
The French player saw a yellow card in the first half of last Saturday’s meeting between his team and the Mallorca, a circumstance that contributed to the decision of his coach, José Bordalás, of replace him at halftime and made him the only player on the team now on the brink of suspension.
His teammates Daniel Wass and Maxi Gómez are currently with three cautions, while Hugo Guillamón, Carlos Soler, José Luis Gayà, Jason Remeseiro, Manu Vallejo and Dimitri Foulquier have seen two yellow cards.
So far they are three footballers who have missed a game at Valencia for sanction. Midfielder Hugo Guillamón saw the direct red in the first minute of the first match of the championship after entering a rival in the Valencia-Getafe match, while on the seventh match, against Athletic Club, the Uruguayan attacker Maxi Gómez he was expelled for accumulation of reprimands.
In the next game, in Cádiz, the Paraguayan central defender Omar Alderete he saw the fifth yellow card of the season and was forced to rest in the next match.
