The forward of the French team, Ousmane Dembelé will miss the entire European Championship due to another injury, according to the FFF in a statement. The Barcelona player suffers an injury to the knee tendon that will take you away from the playing fields for three weeks.
The note says the following:
Forced to leave before the end of the Hungary-France game on Saturday (1-1), Blues forward Ousmane Dembélé (24 years old, 27 international matches) underwent radiological examinations on Sunday night at the Budapest hospital. Recovery times are incompatible with their permanence in the group currently playing in UEFA Euro 2020.
On Sunday a debate took place between the medical staff of the French team and FC Barcelona. After meeting with player and doctor Franck Le Gall, coach Didier Deschamps took note of Ousmane Dembélé's package.
Different profile
Although he was not going to start against Portugal, the loss of Dembelé is a determining factor for Deschamps. The winger entered the field on Saturday in the second half against Hungary and, before being substituted in the 87th minute due to injury, generated several arrivals of danger. It is a player profile that the French team does not have and that usually always shakes the games coming from the bench.
With this departure from the national team in the European Championship, Denmbélé puts an end to another irregular season in which injuries have once again marked their course. He couldn't play for Barça until late in the season and then he was fine, until he was injured again. He entered the Euro, but a knee injury definitely leaves him out.
