Dembélé ‘escape’ to Paris

It is becoming a sad reality that the injured FC Barcelona choose to leave the Ciutat Esportiva and recover off the radar of the Blaugrana club. In fact, three of the four injured, who are currently on leave, have decided at some point in their recovery to pack their bags and follow the work guidelines outside of Barcelona. The first was Philippe Coutinho, who after undergoing surgery in Brazil for his meniscus injury, decided to continue his rehabilitation with the trusted physios of the doctor who operated on him; Then it was Ansu Fati: after undergoing surgery in Portugal with Jorge Mendes' trusted surgeon, and after being operated on for the fourth time on his meniscus, he chose to recover first in the Portuguese country and then in Madrid, where he is following the work pattern of two renowned physios, one of them a personal friend of Mendes; And since there are no two without three, the last to put his feet in dust has been Ousmane Dembélé, who for a few days has been recovering in Paris.

It should be remembered that the French striker was operated on for a ruptured hamstring in his right leg on June 29 after injuring himself at the Eurocup with his national team. The player again put himself in the hands of the Finnish surgeon, Lasse Lampainen, who already intervened on Dembélé a year and a half ago for the same injury. The forecast time is four months off, so in the best case it will not be available until the beginning of November.

Dembélé, who has a conversation pending with the club about his future, has decided to seek the tranquility that he surely would not have in Barcelona and travel to Paris to begin his recovery. The forward has not traveled alone, but has done so in the company of a club physio, Xavi Elain, who will accompany him throughout the process. In principle, the first month of work will be done in full in Paris, combining physiotherapy work with cold and electrotherapy machines, both at home and in a medical center in the French capital.

Initial plans indicate that he will not return to the Ciutat Esportiva until he can do field work. That means that it could reappear for the month of September, when it begins the exits to the outside to make continuous race.

Thus, to this day, only Marc André Ter Stegen has been working at the Ciutat Esportiva from day one. The rest, for one reason or another, have seen fit that it was best to get away from the madding crowd for a long period of time.
