The Argentinian Juan Martín del Potro, who underwent surgery for the third time on his right knee last Wednesday, he was discharged and will begin rehabilitation this week at a clinic in Bern. The 31-year-old player from Tandil was subjected days ago to a new intervention by Dr. Roland Biedert's team, in the Swiss capital.
It was the third operation on that knee in less than two years, since he suffered an injury in October 2018. Del Potro, who was champion of the United States Open in 2009 and reached number three in the world ranking, maintains his particular fight against injuries, that have significantly influenced his career.
The Argentine player, who owns twenty-two individual titles, The Davis Cup in 2016, the bronze medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games and the silver medal in Rio de Janeiro 2016, has already undergone surgery seven times.
Juan Martin del Potro had surgery on his right wrist in 2010 and had three other surgeries on his left wrist between 2014 and 2015. Now, it is his right knee that keeps him out of the competition and the circuit.
