Alphonso Davies continues his set-up after suffering myocarditis as a result of Covid at the end of January. Bayern Munich’s Canadian winger was even able to join the group sessions and it is possible that he could return to a call-up after the national team break. In an interview published on the Bundesliga champion’s website, Davies talks about his recovery, the state of his heart and how excited he is to step onto the Allianz Arena pitch again. These were the topics on which the Munich footballer spoke.
Recovery: “I am happy to return to the Säbener Straße (club sports city). The recovery is going well so far. I have no problems with my muscles and heart, but I am not 100% yet! I am happy to be able to train again and to be ready for work.
Reappearance: “I’m giving my best. I’m working closely with the medical department and the rehabilitation staff. And I’m training very, very hard with and without the ball, doing a lot of running, strength training. I hope I can help the team again soon.” .
Last weeks: “The last four to eight have been very boring, hard on my mind. I’ve made a lot of music in my studio. My family was here for a long time and I visited my girlfriend in Paris once or twice. And apart from that, wait, to wait, to wait…”.
