Davidovich says goodbye at his premiere in Paris

MADRID, 31 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish tennis player Alejandro Davidovich has been fired in the first round of the Paris tournament, the last Masters 1,000 of the season, after losing this Monday against the American Taylor Fritz in two sets (7-5, 6-2).

The man from Malaga, number 32 in the ATP ranking, took a 4-2 lead in the opening set after breaking the American’s serve in the fifth game, who responded by winning five of the last six games to win the sleeve.

Fritz started the second quarter with a 2-0 lead that Davidovich neutralized with a counterbreak. However, the Spaniard did not break his rival’s serve again and gave up his two final serves to bid farewell to the French tournament after an hour and a half of play.
