In the second, the man from Malaga repeated the script with two breaks to go up 4-0 and although Lestienne tried to react with a break, Davidovich closed his pass to the second round of a tournament with a third break where, instead, the veteran was eliminated Fernando Verdasco from Madrid, invited by the organization and who could not beat Australian Christopher O’Connell (6-1, 3-6, 6-0).

The Chilean, saving a set ball, replied there and then came to have even the rest with a ball at 6-5 to win a partial that went to Alzira clearly in the ‘sudden death’ after an hour and a half.

The second set, despite an exchange of breaks, was dominated more by Martínez thanks to a second break, but Garín recovered it when the Valencian served at 5-3 to close the match. However, the Spaniard recovered and broke for the third time to get the ticket to the second round.
