David Jiménez (ProLiga): “Football is experiencing an important period of transformation”

MADRID, 23 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the association of non-professional football clubs ProLiga, David Jiménez, stressed this Monday that football is experiencing “an important period of transformation”, and that all the people who make it up have “the responsibility” that this process passes “successfully.”

“Football is going through an important period of transformation and all of us who make it up have the responsibility, through collaboration, for this process to occur successfully,” said David Jiménez after the meeting held by the president of ProLiga and José Miguel Monje. Carrillo, representative of the RFEF, which was also attended by José Francisco Navarro, director of ProLiga.

During the meeting, held in the Las Rozas Football City, the bases were established to strengthen the relationship between the federation and the employers’ association of non-professional football clubs. Thus, the RFEF and ProLiga have had the opportunity to jointly analyze the transformation process that football is experiencing, as well as establish collaboration scenarios between both institutions.

Established in 2019, ProLiga currently has more than 250 associated clubs, establishing itself as the reference association for the teams that make up non-professional football.
