Drafting sports, Jun 24 (EFE) .- Arsenal has reported, through its website, the renewal of three players, David Luiz, Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares, and that the Spanish Dani Ceballos will continue with them until the end seasonal.
Brazilian David Luiz, who signed with Chelsea last summer, agreed to a new one-year contract. The Spanish Pablo Mari, who is on loan from Flamengo, will be transferred and will sign a “multi-year contract” when the window for these operations opens next month.
Portuguese Cedric Soares will also join Arsenal with another multi-year contract, after acquiring his rights to Southampton.
The English club has also reported that midfielder Dani Ceballos, with a contract at Real Madrid, will continue his loan until the end of the current 2019/20 season.
“David is a really important player for us. He has played most of our games this season and has been important to the team. Their conjunction and communication with the team, on and off the field, has been vital, “said Brazilian Edu, the team's technical director.
“With Pablo we are all upset because he was injured in Manchester City. Since Mikel Arteta -the team's coach- arrived here, he has been asking for a center-back who was left-handed. We were really satisfied with Pablo for his behavior, the way he trains, his mentality and his quality. Unfortunately he is still injured but we are very happy to have him for the future, “he added.
“Cedric will also be an important player. He has been unlucky with injuries, but he is close to being ready and will give us more strength in the right-back position.
