Real Madrid player Dani Ceballos will be out for the club’s upcoming matches due to an injury to his right ankle suffered in the LaLiga EA Sports match against Real Betis, although the international break will mean that the Utrera native will be absent less for the Whites.
“Following tests carried out today on our player Dani Ceballos by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a grade III sprain affecting the ligaments in his right ankle. Pending evolution,” announced Real Madrid.
Ceballos was a starter in the match that Real Madrid ended up winning against Real Betis (2-0), the team where the Andalusian midfielder was trained and from which he made the jump to the team from the Spanish capital.
But in the 65th minute he had to ask for a substitution after being injured in an accidental incident, with a sprained ankle with ligament damage that could keep him out for six to eight weeks.
At the start of this season, Ceballos played the last minute of the European Super Cup final against Atalanta (2-0 for Real Madrid) and, in the four LaLiga matches, he barely played 5 minutes against Real Valladolid in the second matchday, plus the match against Betis in which he was injured.
