The Prosecutor’s Office has asked the judge to keep the footballer Dani Alves in provisional prison while being investigated for the alleged sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman on the night of December 30-31, 2022 in a Barcelona nightclub.

Sources from the Prosecutor’s Office have explained that the prosecutor has positioned himself in this regard before the appeal that Alves’ defense presented last week asking to be released provisionally with other security measures while the case is being investigated. According to the prosecutor, the reasons that led the judge to send him to prison are still valid: he sees “rational signs of criminality” and a risk of flight.
The Brazilian full-back, who was fired from the Mexican Pumas on January 20 after entering provisional prison without bail, remains in the Brians 2 prison in Barcelona, where this Sunday he received a visit from his wife, the Tenerife model Joana Sanz. The 29-year-old girl denied that she had asked for a divorce: “I’m not going to leave her alone at the worst moment of her life,” she said, very affected.

What misleads are Sanz’s movements in networks, since this same Sunday she made any last trace of her husband disappear from her Instagram feed. Joana deleted a snapshot in which they both posed with matching pajamas from the Women’s Secret firm, that is, a paid collaboration that she perhaps had maintained by contract until then. In addition, a few days ago, she explained that the phrase “Heart, endure so much pain” was not addressed to her husband’s heart but to her own. The two have been married since 2017.
