CSD and RFEDI agree that the Spanish School Ski Championships will be free

The Royal Spanish Federation of Winter Sports (RFEDI) and the Higher Sports Council (CSD) have agreed to hold the Spanish School Championships for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding and freestyle skiing from March 19 to 27 with ski passes and free registration.

The Spanish School Championships, in Snowboard and Freestyle Skiing, and alpine skiing will be held in Baqueira Beret and cross-country skiing in the Larra-Belagua resort in Navarra. In Snowboard and Freestyle Skiing for sub-15 category, in background and alpine in sub-16 category.

The competitions will be co-organized by the CSD and the RFEDI and with the collaboration of the regional federations, local clubs and the aforementioned ski resorts. These Spanish Championships have a different and special objective as they are school.

The Snowboard and Freestyle Skiing Slopestyle (SS) championships will be held at the Aranese ski resort of Baqueira Beret on March 19 with the qualifying round and March 20 with the final. In the case of cross-country skiing, the competitions will also take place on March 19 and 20, but they will do so at the Belagua resort in Navarra. There will be a classic cross-country skiing event on the 18th, and a freestyle cross-country skiing event on the 19th.

In Alpine Skiing, the championships will be held in Baqueira Beret, from March 25 to 27 with the collaboration of the FCEH. The first day will be played a Super G and then a slalom task giving the results of an Alpine Combined. On the second day a Giant will be played, and on the third day the skiers will close these 2022 Spanish School Championships with a slalom.

SPAINSNOW IN SOLIDARITY FOR UKRAINE

On the other hand, the RFEDI has launched a solidarity initiative in support of the Ukrainian people, taking advantage of the celebration of the different Spanish Championships in March and April. Thus, he has requested the collaboration of the Autonomous Federations and their clubs so that in the Spanish Championships they charge 3 euros for each registration.
