COVID strikes Rayo

Rayo Vallecano has not escaped this sixth wave. As AS has learned, there are around twelve people who have tested positive for COVID-19 within the first team, between players, coaching staff and assistants. However, in the club’s statement, the exact number is not specified. The first cases were detected before the last league match against Alavés, but little by little the figures have been increasing and this Tuesday they have already reached the outbreak category. Almost one hundred percent of those infected are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms and remain isolated after having tested positive, as reported by the Madrid entity in a note.

Iraola’s pupils are summoned to return to work next Monday 27 (Ciudad Deportiva, 10:30 am, behind closed doors), so the guidelines are clear and are based mainly on extreme caution during these holidays. Likewise, from the franjirrojo club, they trust that those affected can recover in time and the number of positives will not skyrocket in the coming days.. COVID-19 is also having an impact on Rayo Femenino, to the point that this afternoon the match against Levante set for tomorrow Wednesday has been suspended.
