COVID-19 makes Calcium tremble again

The coronavirus is back in the news in Serie A. The Calcio teams are returning to work and every day they add more positive, with a rhythm that suggests that the start of the championship, scheduled for September 19, may be in jeopardy.

Cagliari, yesterday, was the first club to report their cases: there were four (Despodov, Bradaric, Ceppitelli and Cerri) and forced to cancel the concentration that was planned in the town of Aritzo. Antonio Mirante, goalkeeper of the Rome, and two players from the Primavera giallorosso team. Today more teams suffered from the same problem: Sassuolo (Jeremie Boga), the Naples (Andrea Petagna) and Torino, with two footballers whose names were not communicated. Fortunately, all those infected are asymptomatic and isolated in their homes, but there is enormous doubt about what will happen when all the groups have returned to work and the number of infected will inevitably continue to rise.

At the moment there is no news about a possible postponement of the first day of Serie A, but if the numbers of these days will be confirmed during the next week, Federation and League will have to take action. The nightmare has returned.
