Copenhagen announced on Wednesday that it has decided to break negotiations with Danish international Pione Sisto due to the footballer's financial claims.
In a brief press release, the Danish club, runner-up in the league last season, points out that the agreement with Celta de Vigo was total for the transfer of the winger, who on Tuesday afternoon traveled to his country to close his signing for the team led by the Norwegian Staale Solbakken.
“On Tuesday we closed the transfer of the player with Celta. Since then, we have presented you with a very attractive sporting and financial project, within our possibilities. But we have not reached an agreement, so we wish Pione luck in the future ”, explained Solbakken.
The future of the winger, who has a year left on his contract with the Galician club, could now go through his return to Midtjylland, which in the summer of 2016 transferred the player to Celta for about six million euros.
The team led by ex-footballer Brian Piske will play the second round of the 2020-21 Champions League qualifying round against Ludogorets tonight.
