Atletico Baleares, from Primera RFEF, is the big surprise of this round. The Mallorcan team has already eliminated Getafe and Celta and is waiting for another Primera rival to extend the cup dream. Mancha Real, lost 0-2 against Athletic, Linares, succumbed 1-2 against Barcelona, and Alcoyano, defeated 1-3 against Real Madrid, are the other modest teams that have remained in the round of 32.
Rules and conditions of the draw
In the round of 16 draw, 16 teams will be involved, with only 8 that can go to the round. This time there will be three cups: one with the First Division teams and another for the two Second Division teams (Girona and Sporting), and a third for Atlético Baleares, from the RFEF First Division.

The two Second teams and the representative of the First RFEF will be paired with a First, it will be played in the field of the lower category team.
The rest of the teams that remain in the First Division will be paired with each other and the match will be played on the field of the team that comes out first in the match.
Eighth format
The eighth of the Cup will take place on January 15 and 16, except for the Super Cup participants who will play on January 19. The tie will continue to be a single match and there will be no back and forth. The matches, as in the previous rounds, will continue to be played in the stadium of the lower category team. It will be the first round with VAR. The winners of these heats will qualify for the quarterfinals, which will take place on February 2.
