Butragueño analyzes the draw
The Cup draw: “All the illusion, with the hope of winning, we know what it means for Alcoy that Madrid go there again. They will make a great game. We know what Cup matches are like, exciting, even. You have to prepare it well to win there, it is our obligation … and we want it to be that way. It will be very demanding, every three days to play a match, from different competitions, Copa del Rey, Super Cup, League … It is a match that if you win you pass, if you lose you are out. Every detail is increasingly important, it must be properly prepared. Before there will be more games, but the Cup has a very particular emotional component, it is a very beautiful competition. Like everyone else, we want to win it ”.

The veterans’ party in Tenerife for the benefit of the victims of the La Palma volcano: “I am thankful for the treatment they are giving us in Tenerife. We felt very welcome. Very satisfied to collaborate to alleviate the situation on La Palma. Madrid has always had that sense of solidarity. As soon as we heard the news, we put ourselves at the disposal of the Canarian government and it had a wonderful reception in the Canary Islands. Above all there is that message of solidarity for those who need it. Very happy, great pride that our institution is here today and that we can help all these people. It is part of the nature of Madrid, and of sport. The reaction of the fans has been great, thanks to all those who will accompany us and those who collaborate in row zero.
