Coke, a winger for Levante UD and Juan Cala, a central defender for Cádiz involved in the racist controversy with Valencian player Diakhaby, coincided for 3 seasons at Sevilla. A friendship forged with experiences that the Levantine has reflected on social networks, accompanied by a strong message in defense of his friend:
“I was not in Cádiz on Sunday, but I know very well what Juan Cala is like. He has already explained all the events that occurred and in the way they occurred. But before appearing today he had not said a single word.
That is why I do not understand that these days there have been so many prosecutions against him without knowing anything else about what happened and without having proof of something so important.
It is such a serious issue, that of course only the usual, opportunistic and incendiary winners. Because you don't give a shit about the supposed insult and you don't give a shit even bigger about people without evidence who get damaged on your way to win votes and add clicks on the web. You are eager to find culprits to stone them mercilessly and without generating education and learning.
It is also true that I have listened to many voices that generate opinion being cautious at the level that the issue demanded. I think that's setting an example.
I do not claim that anyone is in favor of Juan Cala, but at least wait to have all the conditions to pass sentence. What's more, it is so hard for me to believe that there is any player who is racist, when we live together and fight for our dreams throughout our careers alongside people from different countries, races and cultures.
Hopefully all racists dedicate their free time to help in other countries that need it and lead an association to help the Saharawi people, as Juan Cala shows with his actions.
And most important of all, that this only serves to continue generating education on this subject.
NO to racism and YES to respect. “
In the post, Coke has tagged Benjamin Zarandona, a former soccer player who performs important social tasks with whom both he and Cala have coincided.
