LaLiga clubs will receive a financial boost before the winter market. As reported by 2Playbook and AS confirmed, the LaLiga teams that signed the agreement with CVC will receive the first payment before the end of the year. They will be all except Barcelona, Real Madrid and Athletic, who decided to reject the operation.
According to AS, LaLiga plans to call a meeting to sign the agreement. This was delayed so long due to the refusals of the three absent clubs already mentioned.
This agreement consists of CVC taking approximately 10.95% of LaLiga HoldCo, which will control sponsorships, licenses, LaLigaSportsTV and different areas. In addition, it will also participate for the next fifty years in part of the profits generated by audiovisual rights. The percentages, according to 2Playbook, are yet to be closed. In return, the clubs that accepted the agreement will enjoy an injection of between 2000 and 2.1 billion euros.
According to 2Playbook, This payment, which will be unlocked in December, was scheduled for October but will be the biggest push of the entire agreement, since CVC will pay 40% of the total.
