Before playing on Friday night, the Warriors had won their previous 21 games in a row and had accumulated almost 500 points for the season.

Since the beginning if the 2020 season, the Knights have gone 29-3, but Winton Woods has been responsible for all three of their losses.

Anderson’s fast start in Little Miami proved to be too much to Edgewood to handle. At one point in the game, the 10-seeded Raptors had a 27-0 lead against the 3-seeded team, whom they went on to upset 55-35.

After defeating Elder by a score of 30-10, Lakota West has earned a spot in the game for the regional title. They will face the tournament’s top seed, Moeller.

Mason was able to keep pace with the Crusaders for as long as they could, but in the end, Jordan Marshall for Moeller were too much for Mason, and they won 24-16.

A loss against Valley View on Friday night brought an end to Madeira’s season, and with it, one of the most successful high school football careers in the annals pf Ohio high school football history came to a close as well.

The score was 41-30 in favor of Tippecanoe over Drew Novak with Western Brown. On the opposite side of the river, Trinity was leading Simon Kenton going into the second quarter, yet the Shamrocks produced 28 points throughout the third quarter to take control of the game and win 51-20.

This week’s WCPO Friday Football Battle of the Week features a matchup among No. 8 Lebanon against No. 9 Mason, both of which are ranked in Division I, Region 4.

It was the first time that Mason and Lebanon faced each other in a game since Mason won the opening round of the NCAA 2020 playoffs against Lebanon by a score of 34-16. The two teams did scrimmage against one other throughout the previous two preseasons.

Moeller breezed over West Clermont without breaking a sweat despite the absence of Michigan recruit Jordan Marshall.

The Crusaders defeated the 12th-seeded Wolves by a score of 39 to 13. The following week, they would compete against St. X, who won their game against Springboro by a score of 35-13.

The Princeton Tigers dominated the regular season and continued to do so in the opening round of the playoffs, maintaining their perfect record.

The Vikings won their game against Middletown by a score of 41-15. Following Hamilton’s victory over Sycamore, Princeton will take on Hamilton. Hamilton won 13–10.

Bryshawn Brown, the quarterback for the Warriors, has turned up two outstanding outings in a row, both of which saw him throw for no fewer than 230 yards with two touchdowns.

The Warriors had a hard time getting the ball into the end zone, despite the performances they turned up.

Winton Woods struggled mightily in the run game in all three of the team’s losses this season, rushing for a total of only 10, 43, or 44 yards in each contest.

The Warriors will have to set up their run game quickly and frequently if they want to avoid suffering an unexpected loss.

The Warriors are in a good position to win because to the fact that the La Salle defense has a history of allowing a high number of rushing yards to be scored against them, having allowed at least 200 rushing minutes in each of the previous four games.

On the contrary hand, La Salle possesses the ability for pulling off the surprise victory. The team’s talent level is not accurately reflected by their record of 4-6, which is more accurate.

Pat McLaughlin is currently ranked as the second best passer in the GCL South in terms of throwing yards.

In addition to having 1,941 yards via the air, he has a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 19:6.

On the defensive side of the ball, Brady O’Conner is putting together an excellent effort over the course of the last two games, tallying a total of 20 tackles over that span.

In terms of tackles, he is third among players in GCL South and is only three below the leader.

It will all come down to whether or not the Lancers are able to slow down a run game that is less than outstanding for the Warriors and whether or if – La Salle offense is able to put up points early and often, so compelling Winton Woods to release the ball and freeing up the defense to focus on stopping the run.

On the off chance that everything works out for the team at North Point Road, we might be able to talk about an advancement for the Lancers.
