Choreographer Poty Castillo's family cafeteria catches fire with his mother inside

Hard setback for the choreographer Poty Castillo. On the eve of Christmas Eve, the dancer's family business, a cafeteria located in the center of Torrelavega (Cantabria), has caught fire with his mother and his siblings inside the establishment. Although his relatives have escaped unharmed, the premises have been completely destroyed. Poty, who is currently in Valencia, has expressed her sadness about what happened through her social networks.

“Today is a very sad day. The whole family is in a state of shock, devastated. In August we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the family business, Urban Coffee, in Torrelavega, a legendary and benchmark hospitality establishment in Cantabria. Business that my parents started so many years ago, with the hope of starting a life together and creating a family. And so it has been, until today. A fire has ended so many years of work, sacrifice, enthusiasm and mandatory stoppage of so many friends-clients who have accompanied us a lifetime!!”, he stated without half measures.

At the time of the tragic event, his mother, as well as his brothers and several clients were there. However, there are no injuries to report. “Thank God we do not have to regret personal misfortunes. My mother and my brothers who were at that moment in the establishment with many friends from Urbano's left quickly and that prevented greater evils,” she said.

Since the sad news broke, Poty has been overwhelmed by the multiple expressions of affection he has received. The fire originated on the upper floor of the premises and forced the evacuation of several businesses and homes near the affected area.
