César Noval, surgeon and lineman, renounces the rest of the League

César Noval, line judge for LaLiga Santander, also has his own surgery clinic. And it is precisely this condition of moonlighting that has led him to make the decision not to referee during the eleven days that remain in the championship and that will start from next June 11. He has made it known himself through the social networks of the clinic that he runs.

The assistant, a native of Lleida, assures that “The reason for this decision is twofold: on the one hand, to preserve the health of my teammates, of all the components of football that will resume their activity soon; and on the other hand, to preserve health of my patients to whom we owe and for whom we have a duty and obligation. “

Noval has spared no effort to be physically prepared in case he had to re-referee, but finally, although regretfully, he had to discard this possibility: “Without a doubt, it has been a very hard decision. During the last months, we have worked a lot to keep in shape despite the confinement, we have performed physical and medical tests over the past few weeks we've been through successfully. But, without a doubt, the daily exposure that I have in the surgical activity, especially in the operating room, supposes a burden and a possibility of contagion above the population average. and it would be putting both my colleagues from the football establishment and my patients at risk by making the trips that involve the daily practice of football. “

The communiqué concluded by thanking the support received by the Arbitration Committee: “Main thanks to Carlos Velasco, the President of the Technical Referees Committee, for his constant support during these last months and especially during these last weeks, and allow myself to make this decision for myself. Share my decision and support it, but I am very grateful that it allowed me to reach the end of this period. “
