Casillas feels “ignored and vetoed” by the Federation

It seems that Iker Casillas is not going to get free the fact of having run for a few months to stand for the Federation elections as a rival to Luis Rubiales. The RFEF has made a commemorative video on July 1 to celebrate the eighth anniversary of the 2012 Euro Cup and to thank all the players who participated in that achievement. In that video Casillas, who received the cup as captain, appears glancing a few times. For this reason, the goalkeeper has pulled irony on social networks, although he is visibly angry: “I do not know if I have done something wrong to the team, if so, I apologize …”. Casillas feels “ignored and vetoed” according to what AS has learned from sources close to the former madridista, so he added in his message: “I never forget you, always my Selection!”.

Casillas' check with the Federation began in the morning. He put an emotional message full of smileys on his personal account that received no response from the RFEF. “The week is one of memories. In Kiev, a day like today, 8 years ago raising the EURO 2012.” Although Iker did not have feedback from the official account of the National Team, other teammates like Sergio Ramos or Mata did get the wink and had better luck … Casillas is “very hurt and deeply disappointed”.
