“Casemiro’s foul is red”

Mario Suárez, Rayo Vallecano midfielder, lamented the defeat suffered this Saturday against Real Madrid and declared that the foul in the second half by midfielder Carlos Casemiro on his teammate Oscar Valentín was red and the Brazilian’s non-expulsion hurt them.

A goal by Frenchman Karim Benzema in the 83rd minute allowed Real Madrid to score the three points at the Vallecas stadium, in a game in which they suffered a lot to contain Rayo’s attacks and Thibaut Courtois supported his team with several worthwhile saves .

“We know that against Real Madrid we were either superior in intensity, winning duels and scoring on occasions, or we didn’t have many options. They have one of the best goalkeepers in the world, we haven’t been successful and they have scored in a great play” said Mario Suárez, at a press conference.

The Rayo footballer gave his opinion on an action that took place in the second half between Casemiro and Oscar Valentín that ended with his substituted teammate injured.

“That foul is red because I’ve seen it on video and in a photo. Oscar has blood on his sock. We told the referee about it and he says it’s not red because it doesn’t bend his ankle, but in pictures you can see that it is. doubles more it is divided”, he confessed.

“I understand that it is his appreciation live because there are people and it is a quick action, but I do not understand why the VAR does not warn him. The VAR was going to enter these situations, it has not entered and it has harmed us,” he concluded.

Real Madrid, for its part, also demanded in the first half the expulsion of Álvaro García for a shot from behind at the height of the twin without the possibility of contesting the ball.
