FC Cartagena announced this Saturday the dismissal of its coach Víctor Sánchez del Amo, after Friday’s defeat against Eibar on matchday seven of LaLiga Hypermotion.
“FC Cartagena SAD has made the decision to terminate the contract of Víctor Sánchez del Amo as first team coach, as well as that of the rest of his work team formed by Giannis Kontoes and Koke Contreras,” the club announced in a statement.
The Madrid coach arrived at Efesé this summer with a contract until 2025, but after achieving three points out of a possible 21, the club decided to change the bench. Cartagena thanked Del Amo for his work without announcing a replacement.
