Carracedo leads Córdoba to first win in LaLiga Hypermotion

MADRID, 13 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Córdoba CF won 2-0 against RC Deportivo de La Coruña this Friday thanks to a goal from Cristian Carracedo just before half-time and another from Ander Yoldi in the final moments, in a match played at El Arcángel and corresponding to matchday 5 of LaLiga Hypermotion.

In the 43rd minute, Alex Sala took a corner with his right foot and his ball, which was very high, reached the far post and Carracedo appeared unmarked to connect with a low right-footed shot that went in just inside the goal defended by Helton Leite.

Although the Coruña team had several shots in the second half of the match, the locals were able to extend their lead during the final stretch with two counterattacks, first with a shot from Adilson Mendes that hit the post and then with an unlucky chip from Carracedo himself.

In stoppage time, Yoldi won a penalty and converted it himself to seal Córdoba’s first win in this 2024/25 Second Division. The Cordobans now have five points, taking a breather from a relegation zone that Deportivo is approaching with the four points that they still have in their locker.
