Carolina Marín falls in the final of the Indonesian Masters

MADRID, 29 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish badminton player Carolina Marín has lost this Sunday in the final of the Indonesian Masters, in the BWF World Tour Super 500 category, after suffering the comeback of the South Korean An Se-Young (18-21, 21-18, 21-13 ), number two in the world and who has frustrated the first title of the year for the Huelva.

The three-time world champion and six-time European champion, current number nine in the world ranking, has not been able to decide in her favor her first final of the year, despite having won the initial set, and has fallen after an hour and 20 minutes of play in Jakarta .

The Asian player came to enjoy four rental points in a first round that Marín managed to equalize after the equator (10-10); a 3-0 run offered him his first advantage, which he no longer missed. Subsequently, the Spanish started the second set strong (4-0), but An Se-Young managed to turn it around and force the third.

In it, the Olympic champion in Rio 2016 came commanding the middle (10-8), an income that became insufficient when her opponent signed a 6-0 run that allowed her to take the initiative until the end to crown herself in her third end of the year -they fell in the Malaysian Open and won the Indian Open-.

With this, Marín ends the Asian tour -with this final and two advances to the quarterfinals in Malaysia and India- and will return to Madrid to prepare his next tournaments.
