Carolina Marín begins her career at the Swiss Open with a comfortable victory

MADRID, 20 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish Carolina Marín began her journey with authority this Wednesday in the Swiss Open, a Super 300 category event of the Badminton World Tour, after winning 21-15 and 21-10 over the Taiwanese Hsiang Ti Lin.

The player from Huelva did not let up after her brilliant victory last Sunday at the All England, one of the most prestigious events on the circuit, and barely gave any options to the Asian, 54th in the ranking and who could not counteract the current runner-up in the world.

Even so, Lin started the match well, took the initiative and maintained his options until the final stretch of the first set. There, with 13-14 in his favor, Marín pushed, gained a small advantage and did not let the heat slip away.

In the second, however, there was not so much equality and the Taiwanese player was already behind on the scoreboard practically from the beginning. A devastating 7-0 partial from the Andalusian already placed a clear 16-6 in the partial and ended any hint of emotion.
