The Spanish pilot Carlos Sainz (Mini) this Friday won his third Dakar by retaining his advantage over Qatar in the last timed rally Nasser Al Attiyah (Toyota) and the French Stphane peterhansel (Mini), who completed the podium in second and third position, respectively.

Sainz, who led the race from the third stage, proclaimed winner of the toughest rally in the world for the third time in his carrerafter those achieved in 2010 and 2018, and I did it again as the longest-running driver to get it, now with 57 years.

The Madrid rider did not risk in the last 167 timed kilometers of the Dakar to ensure the victory, which must ratify with an exhibition route of 13 kilometers on the way to the finish podium.
