The Spanish drivers Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) and Fernando Alonso (Alpine) finished as the seventh and eighth best of the 2022 Formula 1 World Cup season, according to the survey carried out among the ‘Team Principal’ of all the teams.
The man from Madrid achieved 68 points, one more than the Spaniard, by the ‘team bosses’ of this recently concluded campaign and who scored in the same way as in a Grand Prix with 25 points for the one they considered best.
The final classification was led by the Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull), world champion for the second consecutive year and who prevailed with authority over the rest of the grid with 207 points. Behind, the podium was completed by the Monegasque Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), second in the championship, and the British George Russell (Mercedes), who finished fourth, with 144 and 127 points respectively.
On the other hand, the Mexican driver Sergio Pérez (Red Bull), who finished third in the World Cup, finished in fifth place (91) in this classification, also surpassed by the British Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), who added 100.
