Carlos III's situation is complicated: the medical team wants to extend his hospitalization and medical leave

The king will enter the operating room in a few days to treat a benign tumor in the prostate. Buckingham Palace announced it last Thursday and conveyed complete peace of mind: “Her Majesty's condition is benign and she will go to hospital next week for a corrective procedure.” And they added: “The king's public engagements will be postponed for a brief recovery period.” However, the situation could have become more complicated in the last few hours.

According to the magazine Hello!the medical team of the king Charles III would have recommended to the monarch to extend his stay in the hospital. Although he was expected to spend only one night in the medical center, those responsible advise maintaining surveillance for at least two nights. Likewise, they have expressed their desire to extend Carlos III's medical leave and delay his return to work for two weeks if there are no complications (and not one, as expected).

And although the intervention to which the monarch will be subjected is simple and does not pose any danger, we must not forget that this is a 75-year-old patient with a social agenda that requires great daily activity and that will have to be reduced to maximum. Carlos III must rest during his convalescence, as well as avoid sudden movements, do not gain weight, do not play sports and, for the moment, do not work.

For the moment, and with Guillermo y Kate also low, queen camilla has taken command and has become the visible figure of the Crown. A few days ago he sent a message of tranquility between smiles: “The king is very well, looking forward to getting back to work.”
