MADRID, 1 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Sociedad forward Carlos Fernández will undergo surgery this Sunday for an injury to the meniscus in his right leg, according to the Basque team in a statement.
“Carlos Fernández will undergo surgery next Sunday, February 4, for a meniscal injury in his right knee,” the 'txuri urdin' team announced on their website.
The Sevillian attacker had been out for Imanol Alguacil since January 7, when he played 45 minutes in the round of 32 of the Copa del Rey against Málaga. Since then, he has missed five games.
Carlos Fernández already underwent surgery more than two years ago, when in July 2021 he tore his cruciate ligament, an injury that kept him off the playing field for almost a year.
