Carlos Alcaraz faces Zverev in his Acapulco debut

Carlos Alcaraz placeholder image will have a golden opportunity to shine in the Acapulco Open (March 15 to 20). The Murcian will debut in the Mexican tournament, ATP 500 category, neither more nor less than against him second seed of the final draw: Alexander Zverev. It will be the first time that the ward of Juan Carlos Ferrero placeholder image faces the German, current number 7 of the ATP ranking, in what is presumed an exciting duel to be in the first round.

Even the ATP Twitter has been in charge of announcing the quality of the meeting and generating excitement: “An epic first-round showdown awaits next week in Acapulco.” Alcaraz will be in Acapulco upon receiving an invitation from the tournament organization, where important stars of the circuit such as Zverev himself will participate. Stefanos Tsitsipas (first seed), Diego Schwartzman, Grigor Dimitrov or Fabio Fognini, among others.

For that lower part of the table, Alcaraz could find himself on his hypothetical path with rivals such as Djere, Ruud, Raonic and Fognini. In the upper part, the Spanish representation will be in the hands of Feliciano López, who will debut against Serbian Kecmanovic.
