Real Mallorca closed the incorporation chapter with the arrival of Cardona, 25 year old forward provided by Osasuna, that will play with the vermilions until the end of the season. After playing in Barcelona, Eibar and Osasuna in the First Division, the Catalan became the last arrival in the ranks of the team led by Luis García Plaza. Cardona is the sixth signing after Oliván, Murilo, Mboula, Cufré and Ndaye. At the end of the assignment period, the Balearic entity will have a voluntary purchase option for an amount of 2.5 million. If it is executed, Osasuna would keep 25 percent of the capital gain from a hypothetical sale.
The operation has been linked to another trip in the opposite direction. Minutes before the transfer market expires Osasuna has reached an agreement with Mallorca for the loan of his Croatian striker Budimir, who last season scored 13 goals in Primera. At the end of the assignment, the entity will have a voluntary purchase option for an amount of 8 million. If the purchase is executed, Mallorca would retain 25 percent of the capital gain from a hypothetical sale. The player will immediately join the discipline of the Navarrese club and will be presented in the next few days.
For its part, midfielder Stoichkov has been loaned to Sabadell. Hours earlier, the 16-year-old Rafael Obrador, who made his debut for Mallorca last season, has been transferred to Real Madrid.
