The president of the Royal Spanish Gymnastics Federation (RFEG), Jesús Carballo, stressed on Tuesday that rhythmic is “very popular” in Spain and boasted of “good fans” to support Polina Berezina and Alba Bautista in the World Championship , seeking to emulate successes such as the title of the Spanish soccer team in the Women’s World Cup.

“Both Polina Berezina and Alba Bautista are super-motivated and super-prepared to fight for those exclusive places in Paris, which are very few,” said Carballo from Feria Valencia, at the start of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup before journalists.

“But we are all pushing and I think that the feelings they have had here and in the previous training sessions have been very good. In addition, he was happy about the soccer World Cup won by the Spanish team in Sydney (Australia). “I think this is a boost for women’s sports and hopefully our athletes have also felt those successes of Spanish sports and we can also enjoy many this week with our gymnastics team,” she predicted.
